| I don't know how I missed this, over at the talechallenge site. It's so heartbreakingly sweet and beautiful. It's so hard to accept the loss of a loved one even when, like Merry and Pippin, you know it is for the best. I love how Merry is more concerned with Pippin's pain than his own. That night his cousin wept silent tears, tears that would come only in his sleep, tears he would not show in the light of day. Merry simply held him, and quietly shed a few of his own. Pippin crying makes me cry too. *sniff* | |
