The perpetrator of the Haldir attack better hope that said elf's screaming hoards of fan girls don't descend on him and knock him senseless. So we have a watcher, and he reports to a Lady who watches the woods? Yavanna, perhaps? And who are her servants? Author Reply: Haldir fans - a very dangerous bunch! Perhaps they'll all arrive and come to the rescue of the poor suffering elf. Or not. The Lady - h'mm. Not telling. I only hope I can do denouement. Thank you for reading.

I am sorry to be slow reviewing, for some reason I neglected to request e-mail of when this great tale was updated, remedied now I am pleased to say. The plot thickens indeed! Leggy with holes in him, Haldir having difficulties with gravity, and mysterious watchers and Ladies. What fun. More more soon, this is great stuff. Rose Author Reply: When I first glanced at your kind words, I thought I saw Haldir having trouble with gravy!! Could be fun! The plot thickens like treacle. Soon I will not know which way to move. Shouldn't be long before the next part arrives. Hope you continue to enjoy it. Thank you for reading.

Ai, poor Haldir! While I was hoping he might fall in the river, I didn't want him to fall out of a tree! Who pushed him? The mysterious watcher, or one of the plotters? If they can shoot Legolas and nearly kill Haldir, what else may they do? I'm going on holiday on Sunday; PLEASE update before then!! (no internet access for two weeks :( :( :( Jay Author Reply: He was going to fall in the river, but the dratted elf just went and fell out of the tree first! It's very frustrated. Wet elf seemed such a good idea - bloodstained doesn't work nearly as well. No internet access! Modern definition of hell. I've e-mailed you some updates - you have advance knowledge.

This is very intriguing. I am dying to know what Rindor has to say. The glimpses of a presence in the forest and mention of a Lady are tantalizing. Author Reply: Little, probably. Rindor has been trained to let as little as possible out! But, unless the story goes on for ever, something will have to emerge at some time. The forest - yep, - there at least I know the answer. Cue for mad laughter.
