The Wrong Path  by White Wolf 2 Review(s)
EruannaReviewed Chapter: 15 on 12/26/2003
That's *not* a very nice sentence to leave us with...which in turn makes it a wonderful sentence to leave us with. *sighs, reflecting on the cruelty of cliffies* It really slams into you after that lighthearted moment; I was laughing along with Legolas.

I like the nearly tangible feeling of fear. Fear demonstrated through eyes, body language, and many other things. Excellent portrayal of emotions for both Legolas and Aragorn. But why is the door to the dining hall locked?

Oh dear! I certainly *hope* Legolas won't have to sacrifice himself... though, after reading the reviews, I am left with an unmistakable feeling of trepidation. In any case, I am fairly certain that, before this is over, there will be some degree of Legolas self-sacrifice. He is quite good at that.

More please!

Author Reply: I had to leave the chapter off with that sentence, because I didn't want anyone thinking that little talk solved everything. Far from it.

I try to use more than just narrative to convey emotions. It doesn't give much depth, IMO, to just say someone felt something. I think a writer should "show" it in their characters.

I'm confused about the question regarding the dining hall door being locked. I don't remember mentioning that. Did I miss something in my own story?

Self-sacrifice? :o)

Forgive me for quote your sentence 'even if it meant the sacrifice of one of his children'... Legolas, is he going to SACRIFICE himself?

I love what I read so far, but u need to update daily, please?

Sivan

Author Reply: Legolas sacrifice himself? Umm. I can't answer that without spoiling things. Just stay with me, and you'll find out.

Update daily? Then you'd run out of story too fast.

I'm glad you are still loving it. That means a lot to me.
