The Wrong Path  by White Wolf 5 Review(s)
P. S. from EruannaReviewed Chapter: 49 on 5/6/2004
Oh no! I realized something terrible last night! As I read the end of this chapter, I was thinking, "He *has* to tell Elrond that Mordraug is going to make him kill his family; he *has* to tell him! Maybe they'll have to tie him to a chair or something, but he *has* to tell someone!" And I just realized: he can't. There is no way for him to tell anybody if Mordraug doesn't want him to. That's terrible; why'd you go and do *that*, White Wolf?!? ;-)

The other thing is: words like "and", "but", and "then" usually don't need commas after them.

Post soon!!!!

Author Reply: I can't really explain without spilling some of the beans. I think you will get all your answers in later chapters.

I know the bit about the commas, but that was the way I learned and have just kept it up. I may or may not continue doing it, depending on whether I think I should keep up the continuity of my grammar. Thanks, though, for pointing that out.

More soon.

Great chapter. You are so cruel.

Why? Why Legolas still suffers?

I still love what I read, thank you!!!

Keep up the PERFECT work that you are doing with your fic, it is wonderful and very tensed.

Sivan

Author Reply: Me? Cruel? Never.

We hurt the ones we love. The more we love them, the more we hurt them. You can you guess how much I love Legolas by what I do to him? Poor baby.

Thank you. I try hard to write what I hope others will like. I'm happy you like this story.

O.O ...eep!!!!

I don't know what else to say...ack! I can't sit back and just watch my elf go crazy?!?!?!?!? How in the world is Mordraug even still here?!?!?!?!?!? And how will the others do anything????? ACK!!!!!!! Hmmm...but Mordraug would be quite reluctant in killing Legolas or will Legolas try to kill himself?? Again with the self sacrifice! Can't wait to see how this unfolds!!!!!!!! POST SOON!!!!

Author Reply: It's true that Legolas is sinking further and further into Mordraug's clutches. I will answer your question about Mordraug's ability to inhabit Legolas's mind in a later chapter. Also, what the others will try to do will be forthcoming.

More next week.

Yes, I'm back. Goodness, have I missed a lot! I feel really bad now... *sits next to Legolas and cries* That was so sad; I love it! The Mordraug guy is really keeping me guessing! Do *you* know where this is going? ;-) This story has been taking some dramatic twists and turns, but I never expected what happened in this chapter. The very horror of being forced to kill your own family...the thought is just sickening...and terribly frightful.

My POOR X 9,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 BABY!

I knew Mordraug was coming back, but it was saddening, all the same. I, personally, can't think of any way to get rid of the guy, but then I've never had a good head for plots. My idea of a story is to write a whole bunch of miniature Legolas angst stories with the intention of eventually stringing them together with a loose plot. ;-)

There is good development here, the concern and helplessness is very effectively portrayed.

Even now I'm running low on time...softball and piano have taken over my life...so I'll be here when I can, and I won't when I can't! (I took a logic course while I was gone; can't you tell?) ;-)

Keep going!

Author Reply: Give Legolas a big hung. He's going to need it. And yes, I know exactly where this story is going. I have a couple of options regarding the ending, but I will decided when I get there.

Mordraug is not a nice person, so it was easy to make him want to do something so horrible. I love the good guys, of course, but writing truly evil villains is fun, too. For that reason, I just *had* to bring him back. The ride from here on out will be a bumpy one, so hand on.

Sounds perfectly logical to me. :o) I'm happy to have you whenever you can come by and read/review.

Oooh, I am getting the creeps! I hate Legolas being controled by Mordraug!:( I am glad that Aragorn told Elrond and the others, and I am still sure that they will come up with a way to save Legolas, but that last demonstration of Mordraug's power over Legolas gave me chills!:/ I guess all I can say is please update soon and get the worst over with!;) But you probably won't do it quickly will you?... You probably love seeing us poor readers squirm...;)Oooh, I don't know why I keep reading this story... well, maybe I do;) Because I can't stand not knowing what happens!!! Ok, enough of my ranting, Please update soon!:)

Author Reply: I hated to have Legolas destroy his beloved flowers, but I thought that was a perfect way to demonstrate Mordraug's power and Legolas's inability to fight the command to do it.

I'm glad I have you hooked on the story. That's one of my intentions. I love to write and having my work enjoyed by others is a thrill.

Now that others know about Mordraug, it will remain to be seen what can be done, if anything.

I will update early next week.
