What a special day for Legolas. A time for bonding between father and son is always good. I hope nothing goes awry.

What a wonderful story! The perfect blend of sadness and healing! I applaude you. ;)

Call me an idiot; I didn't realize that the reviews were all exposed that way until I stumbled on the list by accident. I simply never went looking, and I always seem to be in a hurry so I don't notice things I should.

I saw you had only this chapter left, so I finished it. I could use an editor myself about now. Very sweet story, very well done! I thank you again. Good wrap. I also liked seeing Elrond and Thranduil being friends. I'll read more soon.

Author Reply: One of the (many) things I like about this site is the review system, especially being able to reply so easily and quickly. I'm glad you liked this story - it's very angsty, but at least it had a happy ending - though Legolas and Thranduil will always miss Telparian.

I am up reading what I think is one of your early ones. I can't find that list you provided me once about the order in which these should be read. And look! It is 2:47 in the morning here and once again, it is your fault I am remiss in my duties. I will not be able to function tomorrow and I have editing to do!

Ownderful story. I cried and cried in the angsty parts. Before I had my children, I was much tougher. (They are 7 and 12, and I love them dearly.) Thranduil is just the kindest father. Don't we all wish everyone could have a Dad like that?

Sweet touches. Young Legolas is reminding me of my own son. May I be as patient as Thranduil is. (Of course, this household is lacking in domestic help!)

I;ll read more tomorrow. Thanks for writing.

Author Reply: 2:47? ouch! Rather you than me - but it's not my fault if you can't get up in the morning!

I always love to get a review for one of my older stories - it's great that people are still reading them!

It was really important that Thranduil was a very good father in this story - I was so sick of the stories where he is an abusive drunk who beats Legolas :(

When I have some time, I really must make a time-line of my tales, and add it to my bio - even I sometimes lose track of what happened when.

Thanks for the review - now get some sleep!

What an incredibly sad and yet sweet tale. I died as you told us how Telparian had died and the reaction of husband and son to their loss. Great job.

Author Reply: I think this is perhaps the saddest of all my stories :(

The sadness will linger for a long time, but they can move on together as long as they have each other.

Beautiful. Such a lovely day for Thranduil and Legolas.

I loved the little story within a story about why the King never swims completely unclothed. :-)

The wolfhound pup ending was adorable.

This has been such a touching story all round, Jay. :-)

Very much liked the ritual with the stones for the cairn and the memory for each. As you can see, I am busily (and happily) reading some of your stories!

Lovely way to end this story.
Btw, is there any way you can be bribed into writing the story behind that wolfcub incident?

How sad for little Legolas to think Ada does not want him any more! Thank goodness, Thranduil was able to set him right. (I knew Thranduil wasn't bad. I just knew it! ... okay, so I was a *little* worried. But just a little.)

This was a touching chapter, Jay. I got a painful lump in my throat reading Legolas' anguished answer. It was beautifully written.

Legolas is so different from the bright sunny child who worked so arduously to refurbish for first bow for his new sister. How sad that grief and fear have forced him to build such a wall around himself.

I understand why Elrond might wonder if Thranduil has turned violent towards Legolas. The King is grieving as well, and grief changes people. So Elrond must consider the possibility. But I can't ... I don't want ... to believe Elrond's right.

Author Reply: Thank you again for the review - poor Legolas is not coping well at all. But the next chapter is up, so you and Elrond will both get some answers. And you have to remember one thing - I don't *do* Evil!Thranduil. But I got fed up with stories where Legolas is abused by his father, and no one seems to notice or care.
