A fantastic tale. The Epilogue is so sad, it made me cry. |

My heart breaks for Thranduil every time Legolas and the sea-longing is mentioned. I know I should feel sorry for Elrond even more, but it's always Thranduil whom I mourn with. |

So, Thranduil must remain in the forest for it to heal properly? An interesting idea. He really has gone native among the Wood-Elves, for all that he used to be a Sindarin aristocrat, hasn't he? |

All hail the Elvenking who managed to defend his realm without any magic Noldorin trinkets! |

So, Thranduil expects Gandalf to somehow escape final death and to return? Very perceptive of him. How sad that the letters of the fathers were never read, though. |

I like the reasons Elrond gave for sending Legolas on the Quest. They make eminent sense if I think about it. |

I went back browsing older stories, and to my great joy found this one. A shame that it has no reviews at all - it is excellent. I loved how the two stubborn Elf-Lords had to make peace because their wives were fed up with the nonsense. *g*
Glorfindel helping Thranduil to bury Oropher was very touching, though. |
