This is lovely! Not only a Little Legolas story (and I'm a huge sucker for Legolas as an elfling) but also a pre-Last Alliance Thranduil, not yet so embittered. The echoing of the 2 celebrations is delightful, and bittersweet for T. Thank you. I've read some of your stories before, but forgot to bookmark your author page here. Since then you've added 3 chapter to What Comfort .. so I'm off to catch up!

Oh, thank you sheraiah, as always you write such wonderful and moving stories that capture our loveliest Elves! I was struck by Thranduil as brother, his lightheartedness, oh and the sorrow of loosing that, but then the joy that only little Legolas can bring! Thank you for this wonderful yule gift!

I love the relationship you have created between Legolas and Thranduil. It was fun to see the more "infant" version of the relationship described so beautifully in your story "Of a Father and Son". Good story-as always!

Nice paralleling of the two solstice events. I am a sucker for stories in which little elves are treasured, so I enjoyed this one too. And of course, it's also well written.
