Someday, I am going to read a story where Pippin is not charming, where he gets punished for all the things he does, and where he doesn't get spoiled rotten. A day of wolves, of shattered dreams when the age of Pip comes crashing down. But it is not this day. Ahem. Anyway, this was awesome. I really do love how Pippin acts, and Merry and Frodo and Sam were fun too. And Gandalf? Loved it. A truly hobbity story. Author Reply: Pippin not charming? I don't think it would be possible! I think I had the most fun writing this of all my stories. Once I started, I couldn't stop! It was for a "Winter Wonderland" challenge, and the story was only supposed to be 1000 words long - I think I ended up with 2500. Oops! I like having Gandalf and hobbit interactions, so he had to make an appearance! Thanks for your review!

A wonderful fun story, little sister!! I like the mental image of Gandalf in a snowball fight!! Pearl Took Author Reply: It isn't too hard to picture Gandalf having a little fun in the snow. Would he ever live it down if the White Council found out, though? Hehehe

What a nice little wintery tale! My favorite line: “He won’t while you’re hidden behind me,” Merry snorted with a scowl. “It’ll hit me first! And besides, geese don’t have red feathers.” I love when hobbity talk is captured so well, especially young Merry and Pippin. Good job and thank you for sharing this.
