Lovely! I adore happy hobbit stories, and this is one of the best I've ever read. Faramir is so much fun, when he's happy, and this story showed great depth, while being fun to read at the same time.
Author Reply: I see you've noticed the lack of happy Faramir stories. Sure he's been through a lot, but I can't imagine he'd be depressed all of the time! I believe I had the idea for this story when I wondered how Faramir would have felt about Pippin naming his son after him. I am considering writing a second chapter when Faramir actually does name his children (partly) after Merry and Pippin. We'll see what happens. |
