| Oh no, I haven't recovered from the last bout of sniffling, and now you've got me going again! "His crooked grin flashed out, as warm as it was rare, making him look like a lad again. But there were shadows of fatigue under his eyes, and the hair at his temples was touched with grey." Sniffle! I did love seeing Fosco again, and hearing that he reminds the Hall of Frodo as a lad made me chuckle! I'm sure Fosco would be proud. But then you hit me with this: "And it was Mr. Frodo's last Fair in the Shire." GAAH! *cries* Well, I'm going to get to the cleaning I've been putting off for an hour before I move on to the next chapter. *sigh* Author Reply: Oh yes - I do hope someone told Fosco that he was like the young Frodo - I'm sure nothing would please him more! And I hate it, too, that this was Frodo's last Fair in the Shire. jo | |
