This is awesome.. well written. I hope you write more about Celeborn and Galadriel's time now that they are reunited. You are a gifted writer!

I found this on the Galvalon Awards page. I must say, it is very intriguing. So unlike the Celeborn of the movies. More of a worthy companion for such a powerful woman. The insights shown into his character are compelling. I find myself more in awe of him than before. Thank you for sharing.

Sphinx, this is wonderful. I've always rather loved the stories of Doriath, and Celeborn by extension, but this story has just profoundly altered my perception of him. The love between him and Galadriel, the way he reacts to Finarfin's questioning...even his perceptions of the Valar. He's perfect! I like the way the scene was entirely from Finarfin's perspective, even though it was strange beyond words to hear Celeborn referred to as a 'younger' Elf Lord. I also like the way you've given these imposing figures of legend majesty and eloquence, but also managed to keep their humanity and complexity. In short, your characterizations were deep, powerful, convincing, and utterly perfect. On all counts, from Galadriel to her father to Celeborn...and I really enjoyed the Celebrian/Elrond moment at the end. Would you consider writing more in this universe? I also enjoyed your 'Descent into Eternity' piece, and while I know that this isn't a direct sequel, it fits so well. Your prose is absolutely lyrical, and I would love to see more of your Celebrian, and your Galadriel and Celeborn. And Elrond. And Finarfin. And Finrod. And everyone else that you have mentioned even in passing. :) Please continue writing--I don't know of any flaws to point out to you. Your knowledge of canon is impressive, your style is elegant, and your understanding of your characters comes out beautifully. I'm going to go off now to read the rest of your stuff--if it's anything like this, I'm certain I'll love it. Author Reply: Thank you, Rebecca!!! I like the way the scene was entirely from Finarfin's perspective, even though it was strange beyond words to hear Celeborn referred to as a 'younger' Elf Lord. The disadvantage of Silm is that people tend to forget just how long it really is, and how many years it spans. :) Celeborn is probably several millennia old by the time this fic happens, but Finarfin's even older. Puts a lot into perspective. Thanks a lot, and do continue reading! Sphinx

I very much enjoyed this, as I do most of your work. It was very interesting as I have never seen this particular meeting written about before. I was mostly on Celeborn's side during the argument but I really did feel sorry for Finarfin when he let his sorrow show. Great work anyway, continue writing! Author Reply: Thank you for stopping by. :) I was on Celeborn's side mostly myself, but as the fic wrote itself, I began to see Finarfin. His Finwean streak shows when he's bugged. Hey that was great. i've never seen a fic where Celeborn meets Finarfin before so it was really interesting. Finarfin was a little bit more mean than i would have thought, especially since Celeborn was part of his wife's family, but he probably would have had some issues with his daughter being on ME for so long and would naturally blame her husband for this. It would be great if you could write a sequel to this perhaps with Celeborn meeting Earwen or even the reunion between Finarfin and Galadriel when she first returned. Keep writing. Author Reply: Thank you! I'm glad you found justification enough for Finarfin's slightly harsh behaviour. You see, that's the problem with reading between the lines of Silm and Unfinished Tales. There is so much that either Finarfin or Celeborn would have been directly or indirectly involved with in the ensuing ages of the world - it is tough because it is all assumed. A sequel?? Hmm. I dont really know. Maybe a small piece sometime in the future. ;) I'm glad you liked it. :)

This was really neat. You did the characters very well. I especially like your portrayal of Celeborn. I'd never thought of Celeborn's meeting Finarfin, but I suppose it would have to occur sometime. You did a good job of making your elves emotional enough to seem real, but cool enough to seem elvish. It was surprisingly enjoyable. Great work! :) Author Reply: Thanks! Elves are tricky characters to write. They hang somewhere between being all too human and all too weird. I suppose that is why I love them. ;) I'm glad you like my Celeborn. I adore him myself. There's just something about that chap that causes instant attraction. And he's such a misinterpreted character. I just thought of giving him a bit more space in which he can prove himself.
