THIS STORY WAS VERY INTREGEING!LOVED IT!

Chilling, the 'choices' put to Frodo were no better than selecting between Scylla and Charybdis.

Author Reply: That's one way of putting it, with an Odyssian twist! But you're right. The impossible choice.

NO! FROODOO! You can't kill him! This is so sad, but it could be better. Would you mind if I wrote an Epilouge? I have the PERFECT idea! Please!

Author Reply: Dear Arwen - I'm sorry I've taken so long to respond. If you would like to write an epilogue, go ahead. I'll be interested in seeing what you come up with. I actually wrote a comforting epilogue for some readers at LiveJournal, since many people found the dream to be too dark for them. But the epilogue is *not* an official one - "officially" the story stops at the end of the fifth chapter as it is posted here at Stories of Arda.

But I'd like to see another "AU" epilogue. Have fun!

Well, I can't get onto FF.net, so I'll review here.

That was pretty dark. What a horrible choice to have to make. I can't help but think that this is part of Frodo's guilt for claiming the Ring at the last second - that he feels in someway unworthy to be among the others.

Very suspenseful. But I think we've earned a happy dream, don't you? Keep up the great work!

Author Reply: It was a dreadful choice. I had a hard time writing this dream - I hated what I was writing, and hated what I was doing to Frodo. But this story wanted to be told, and so I wanted to write it (an odd position to be in, definitely!)

We've definitely earned a happy dream! In fact, the one I am working on (slowly) will probably be the happiest (or at least the most hopeful) dream yet in this series.

Thanks!
