| I haven't reviewed this yet although I read it all, and I have to comment on something that surprised me when I read it. At first, I thought this view of Eowyn and Faramir was a distant one, that we would be far from their feelings and actions because we were simply being told what happened in retrospect. But the more I read, the deeper I was drawn into this, until by the end,I was really swept up in the anguish of these two. I also liked the double first person which you handled so skillfully. Author Reply: Daw, Thank you. I'm so glad that I managed to get 'under the skin' of them both. It was a facinating process, especially as their roles in the books leave so many blanks. Helen | |
