| This was a lovely read so sweet and funny. It is good to see the otherside of the Fellowship the loving friends who care for each other. Your Gimli and Legolas are wonderful Also Aragorn and Legolas such a history loved the reference to you earlier story and the brief mention of the redoubtable Nimendis just made me want to know more abnout her. Little hint there!! Thank you for sharing your writing with others J Author Reply: There will be more of Nimendis forthcoming. I plan to finish 'Sun and Shadow' in the near future and she features in that one, giving Thranduil a hard time about courting her sister. Glad you liked my Gimli! | What a lovely tale this was! I have been truely enjoying your work for sometime now, though I am a hopeless lurker. I think what prompted me to review this one is my love of reading stories about Aragorn and Legolas from a different perspective. What I mean is that I love the background that you have created for them, and I really like seeing Pippin's reaction to learning about it. I hope that makes sense.... And I also liked your portrayal of Gimli and Legolas's friendship. I thought the way they cared for each other was really sweet, and well done. Not over the top, but simple things to let the reader know that they care about each other. I would love to see something similar to this, perhaps from Merry's perspective? Maybe he gets the opportunity to spend time with the three hunters??? Thanks for the wonderful story! Author Reply: LOL, well you never know where the plot bunnies will take me. I may do exactly that, one never knows. I had been planning to work on another of my multi-chapter stories that I've been neglecting for awhile, but a random plot bunny bit me with a vengeance last night, so I've got another one-shot in the works. No hobbits this time, but more of the three hunters. I did leave this one a bit open-ended deliberately, though, just in case I got a Merry-bunny. | I don't normally read short vignette or fics (I love to curl into my chair and get lost in long tales), but I saw this story listed and decided to give it a read. And I'm so glad I did! I love the way you wrote the friendship between Aragorn and Legolas - the easy-going banter of old friends. The friendship between Legolas and Gimli is also wonderfully written - I like how Legolas, knowing that Gimli has worked hard all day is probably tired, makes sure he doesn't have to leave his chair to get more food; and Gimli returns that concern by remarking on how thin Legolas is. And there's Pippin, the youngster, soaking in the tales and enjoying the banter of the 'adults'. It's wonderful! I'm glad I took a chance and decided to read this. Author Reply: Wow, what a compliment! Thanks, Luinielle. Writing Gimli and Pippin is relatively new for me as I've mainly written elves up until now. I'm very glad to see that it worked the way I wanted it to. Thank you very much for taking the time to stray from your usual reading habits to read my little scribble and then review it. | I laughed out loud at this one. Most of the stories that I read have very serious elves in them and I enjoyed your Legolas very much! I was also glad to see Gimli included in the story.
