The Wizard and his Pupil  by Acacea 4 Review(s)

I do not know how I managed to miss this one, but it is your typical standard. You've a nice touch with Faramir, moving things along to where they need to be. Lovely portrait here. It must have been sad for Faramir - one of his last links to 'the time before'.

Author Reply: Thank you:)

I wrote it ages ago, almost a year now. just relaised i hadn't posted it here, so clenaed it up a bit and posted:) I'm very glad you liked it.

Faramir had very few positive and supportive role models, it must have been difficult after all of his losses to say goodbye to his childhood mentor.
You have captured the moment very sensitively.

Author Reply: Thanks Shireling! Yes, I'm sure he wouldn't have liked saying goodbye to Gandalf. They seemed to like and respect each other greatly from what little you see of their interaction in the book. Would have been so nice if there had been more!:)

Awwwww How nice. I don't think I've seen one on this subject before. Good job!

Author Reply: Thanks! Glad you liked it:)
It was actually a challenge response posted almost a year ago. There is one more on the same subject - The King's Shilling by Altariel. It's there on ff.net and HASA:)

That's a lovely farewell. It may very well have happened exactly like this.

Author Reply: Thanks Shirebound! I'm honoured you think it may have happened just so:)
