I started reading this story when the first chapter was posted, but I never got around to finishing it! I'm so glad that I remembered to :) I loved the wedding traditions! Such a cute, and very hobbitish idea to chase the bride and groom begging for a kiss. I'm so glad that Lavender found someone special too. And what a catch! (I adore Fredegar :P) Pippin's plan was wonderful - trust him. "Shielding from unfriendly eyes", lol! Fabulous story. Thanks for sharing :D

Laughing with delight! I have only time for one chapter, for it is late, but what a lovely beginning. I love your wedding traditions! And your characterisations sound so hobbity. Very nice. Looking forward to more.

Nice use for the Elven cloak after the quest is over! LOL I love this story, but they haven't made it to their rooms just yet have they? I will be waiting for more. Author Reply: No, they aren't safe yet! Thank you for reviewing and I'm thrilled you are enjoying this story. I tried hard to keep the Elven cloak from becoming a knock-off of Harry Potter's invisibility cloak, hope I succeeded. The TT movie inspired me - if Frodo and Sam could look like a rock, Pippin and Diamond could look like under-the-table-shadows.

This is such a delightful story! I love seeing Pippin and Diamond as co-conspirators. And what a clever use of the Elven cloak! :) Author Reply: Thanks! I was nervous that this chapter would ring false.

Can't wait to see what Pippin has planned. Hope it works as Merry knows most of Pippin't plans doesn't he? Enjoying this very much. Author Reply: Not always, after all Pippin has the 'home turf' advantage and more determination than Merry or Folco. Plus, I think Merry is used to seeing Pippin as his little cousin and will underestimate him. I'm glad you're enjoying this, the third part is the trickiest chapter and keeps misbehaving itself but is starting to shape up, I hope to post it by next week.

"If Merry or Folco catch us there will be no chance for revenge when they wed." That Diamond is a saucy one! And I love the ending. Pippin, you scamp. I hope these two "escape" successfully! Author Reply: Thank you! The hair pin part is one of my favorite parts. Unlike Merry, Pippin grew up with three sisters and would realize Diamond had pins to hold the wreath in place. I imagine he was the sort of kid brother who sat behind Pearl, Pimpernel, and Pervinca and carefully undid their hairstyles.

This is lovely! Your attention to detail (such as the history of the cup, and how Diamond thought of it) is amazing. Will you be giving the ceremony from Pippin's POV as well? Author Reply: Not from Pippin's point of view, future chapters will be from either Diamond or her cousin Lavender's POV. I had the next chapter all ready... and then a much better style popped into mind. It flows much better and is considerably funnier. I'm hoping to have it up by Sunday at the latest. There are 3-4 chapters total for this story.

Love your wedding ceremony! I am enjoying this very much and look forward to Merry's attempt to kiss the bride! Anxiously awaiting more. Author Reply: Thank you! I worked hard to come up with an interesting ceremony - its loosely based on Ancient ceremonies and the idea that hobbits would want to get to the food quickly ;) The 'catching' of the bride and groom (its fair game on BOTH) resulted from reading about medieval weddings of nobles were they had a bedding ceremony. Couldn't imagine hobbits going quite that far, but I imagined they had some tradition to embarrass the newly weds. Of course, Pippin and Diamond are fully aware of this tradition and plan accordingly…
