The Prince and The Shipwright  by Dragon 2 Review(s)

I like the picture you are creating of Beardo...er, I mean, Cirdan.
I wish I had found this story sooner and I hope to find the time to read the rest today.

Poor family...it's sad, but I like it that you've included the times between Ereinion and his parents before he leaves. And they're such a loving family too...that makes it harder, in a way, to send a little one away.

Ereinion's packing reminded me very much kid-rational in packing: why take things you'd really rather not even use? Several times on family trips we had to stop at a department store to pick up something that got overlooked amid the piles of bathing suits and card games that we always brought along--like sneakers!

The musing that anything that will do you good can't be any good at all was cute too--even poor Ereinion was worried at the time. Reminds me of vegetables.

Still a good mix of sadness and fun...though there isn't much fun when things go crumbly, is there?
