This is a lovely story>I enjoyed it and you used the symbolism of the chess pieces well.

That was beautiful. I love pieces like this, sad but sweet. Thank you for writing such a wonderful piece, it is just perfect for keeping me going through this rotten foggy day! Thank you again!

A beautiful, well-written story! I especially liked that you create a scene for Boromir and Sam.

The characters' feelings are portrayed very convincingly - a very believable addition to the LotR-tales!

As with your other stories I really liked this. Your portrayal of the relationship between Boromir and Faramir is as I would have imagined it to be.

I have to admit that one of my few criticisms of the films is the changes P.J. made to Faramir's character. I liked him as he was in the books, recognising the trap that Boromir fell into and avoiding it himself.

That's beside the point. Your story was excellent. Keep up the good work!

This has got to be the best Faramir Remembers sort of fic I've ever read! You've got a real gift for showing the importance of little things, and symbolism of the chess pieces was particularly well done.

Insofar as the characters themselves are concerned, all of them were excellently accurate. I especially liked the contrast of Boromir's tougher personality against Faramir's more sensitive one, and the little snippets you provided of their relationship as close brothers. To wit: I have absolutely not trouble imagining that, in the extended cut of Two Towers, Boromir has a white king in his vambrance when he and Faramir are drinking together.

I loved the way you described Aragorn too, as a ranger as well as a king, and it actually wasn't until that moment that I remembered (duh) that Aragorn would have found the piece when he removed the vambrances! That was a wonderful way to wind the whole thing off.

To say that I have really enjoyed this would be an understatement, to say what exactly made it so good would be problematic (I'm not very good at such dissecting), but I couldn't very well lurk when such literature was to hand! Nohow! ;D

Thanks for posting!

All right, I'm not a member of this site, and I've only read a few of the stories posted here (as I usually post on fanfiction.net), but I read this story and really enjoyed it. It was well constructed, and I liked the relationship you created between Boromir and Faramir. Anyway, I just figured to I would drop a short review. This is very well done!
