| A better description of what it feels to have a migraine I've never read. I was especially struck by your detailing of the scalp massage - one of the best remedies to relax the muscles and help a severe headache. I sincerely hope this intimate knowledge of migraines does not result from first-hand experience, but the story certainly reads like it does. I like how you selected Merry for this particular torment - he could certainly worry himself sick by trying to anticipate every danger and work out every problem in advance. The image of Merry encircled by concerned hobbits is a heart-warming one, and of course, we love to see Boromir carrying either Pippin or Merry at need. Excellent story. Author Reply: Thank you! I cannot (thankfully) with true conscience say I have a migraine, but I hav eexperienced really bad headaches. Merry`s headache here is not a written out experience of mine, though. I sometimes feel Boromir is written too cruel and evil, but I don`t see him like that. I think he was a kind man, but the Ring insnared him and made him do what he did to Frodo. Anso | |
