| Wow... what a powerful last line. :*( This line was so awesome: She saw a dashing young adventurer riding up the lane on a pony, glowing with life, strength and confidence. She saw a father holding his first child in his arms, looking simultaneously about to burst with pride over this creature he had helped to create and terrified he might break this fragile new life. So much love. oh poor Rosie and poor Sam... lovely... this made me quite melancholy in its powerfulness. :*( | |

| Well, my heart is broken. Is that what you were aiming for? And yet, such sweetness amidst the sorrow. The love of Rosie for her Sam and his for her, here at the end of their life together, give light, glorious and undimmed for those of us waiting in the wings. Those of us who have yet to make the same journey as Rose may have the courage for it now. May we do it with as much love and dignity and beauty and grace as did she. Beautiful, beautiful piece.
