Again, movie inspired (When Merry tells Pippin that "The enemy thinks you have the ring"). I've read the scene through in the book several times and I still can't figure out what Sauron means by 'deity', unless he is refering to the Palantir. | A different way of looking at Sam. I really enjoyed it. Like in the movie, the worst that could happen to Sam would be to be sent away.
