Ah, a beautiful story! I adore the cultural differences between north and south and the fact that there still is a culture in the north and not just wild people that know nothing of their past. I always thought that it would come to bad blood between south and north because really? Each of them have their own traditions and Aragorn needs to be mindful of both but far more with the south than the north. The north is already his realm but even as Gondor accepted him, his kingship is new and kinda shaky. You showed this and his decision, his need to be in Gondor and not in the north shows this conflict and the coming conflicts between the two realms. I think and hope that the north will not be quiet about it. He's their king after all. They were with him and the south has no right to take him from them like that, to force his hand like that. So yes, they'll be unhappy with Aragorn but they'll understand the reasons, the possible ramifications, the need for it and they will be far more unhappy with Gondor. Because how DARE they. I don't want bashing but that differences and old wounds clash. Good work~

I am enjoying this story and would like to read its conclusion, do you know when you might complete it? :-) Idril Author Reply: Whoops I was mistaken. This is the end - not a very good one I agree but it had to stop somewhere. Sorry.

I love "The King Comes Home". Really well written. But when are we going to get an update? Nothing since August 2004! Too cruel. Author Reply: My word has it been that long? I'll try to do better :)

Excellent! I really enjoyed this, it was quite different from anything else I've read. Most people just ignore Arnor, and I must admit I generally have as well. This was really an interesting take on a rather overlooked area. I can't wait to read your other fanfics. I found the geneaology rather confusing, but loved the descriptions of Annuminas and the various characters' costumes. Oddly enough, it all seemed strangely familiar, as though I've been there before. I can't quite think of what it reminds me of. Quite well done.

You've done very good work creating all the politcal, social and familial "back story" for Aragorn and the North. The detail and complexity you've created takes a lot of work and it shows in your stories. I only wish that your stories were accompanied by genealogical charts.

Oh, how I love the cultural differences you portray! I think I'd rather be a casual northener! I love the whole concept of Beomann going from oblivious Breelander to squire of one of Aragorn's right hand men. You really pull off AU/fanon elements well, making it look like Tolkien wrote it, yet giving footnotes so as not to confuse anyone. You even make up reasonable sounding excuses when you break cannon, thus showing your respect for it with out getting in the way of the storyline. This is excellent, please continue.
