Rainy Days  by Dragon 9 Review(s)

That is perhaps the sweetest little Legolas story I've read, and that's saying something because I've read alot of them.
The switches from Legolas' point of view to Thranduil's are flawless.

I like this. I like this very much. We don't see much of Legolas' heart in later times, and it is nice to see a story that shows us what his life as a young Elf could have been... Very touching. Kudos on a great story thus far.

"I can try"

Poor Thranduil, and poor Legolas - we all have bad days and all he can see is that his day would be better if he had a naneth.
Thank you

Author Reply: Thanks for reviewing and glad you liked it! He's lonely poor little bug, but Thranduil does his best.

"That was me."

Oh, this is lovely. A strong image of a dirty elfling at the end day trying to summon up a memory to please his father - and Thranduil wishing he could ..
Well, "If wishes were horses ...."
Thank you.

How like looking a photo album that has pictures of you as a small child. Everyone talks about this and that happening that day and even though you were there, you don't remember. But you remember other things that happened. Thranduil hoping that his son will remember some things with his Naneth by telling his son about events that happened when she made Legolas' quilt, Legolas not sure what he remembers or whether he remembers at all.
You have a good start on portraying a small elf and the problems Thranduil faces in raising a child alone. Even though he is king and probably has many servants, noone makes up for the lack of a parent. Hope to see more.

Aww, that was really sweet. It must be so hard to be a single parent, especially when you're dealing with your own grief. You showed both Thranduil and Legolas's points of view well. Thranduil, really desperate that Legolas remember that important lady, and Legolas, desperate to remember, but frightened that he does not.
One little typo: "Did one of the big girls teach me?" I think you meant "teach you."
Sweet little story. Thanks for the enjoyment.
