I loved it! It was neat how it was part of the movie, but from a different perspective. Like it was someone narrating w/ it. I loved how you told it from Boromir's perspective, w/out saying it was him 'til the end. It kept me wondering! At first I thought it was Aragorn P.O.V. Thanks so much for this fic. I enjoyed it.

A mutual friend, Kimby, told me about this tale of yours, and being totally committed to Boromir (and having written a few Boromir tales myself), I had to read it! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this marvelous tale. You have done Boromir to perfection! The relationship between Boromir and Pippin has always seemed to me to be very special, and you have done a fantastic job of portraying that love they had for one another -- such a deep love that Boromir would continue to look after his Little One even after death. It is comforting to know that he can still be there for him and Pippin knows that in a special way. Tears are running down my face as I write this, just thinking about that sweet story. Thank you again so very much! Linaewen -- (lin4gondor on LJ)

Oh, that was so sad! I kept wondering who you meant the whole way through. At first I thought it was Aragon, then Legolas, and then Gimli. Never once did I think of Boromir! Wondeful idea, and beautifully written, especially for a movie-verse fic (:P I tend to avoid movie-verse if I can). Well done :)

I loved this when I read it during the challenge and I just wanted to say that again, here! This is beautiful. The descriptions of what both Gandalf and Pippin are feeling are so wonderful and they put you right into the story. I like Boromir as a gardian of hobbits.

For some reason, I knew early on that it was Boromir. Perhaps it was the "Little One", his special name for them, or it may be that from the start I could hear it in his voice. You captured so well the love the warrior from Gondor had for his small charges. I wish that you would take it further--I would like to hear Boromir's reaction when Pippin saves his beloved brother. Author Reply: Wow, thank you so much. Actually, I was just thinking today that I might do a continuation, from Minas Tirith to when Pippin gets squashed by the troll. I just hope I can do it as well as this one.

This is a lovely short story, very sweet. For the first part I thought the narrator was Legolas, but got rather confused when he was still with Pippin after they left Edoras. I never thought of Boromir! Jay Author Reply: I wasn't really trying to trick anyone, but did want it to be a surprise. I'm glad it worked!
