Lily, I just wanted to let you know that I selected this story for this week's retro fic on the MC list. I thought it was wonderful and hope you don't mind me reposting it for the new members to read. washow Author Reply: Oh, by all means, use it. Thank you. :)

Lovely story. I do so love the twins -- and a gentle, caring Elrond is a treat :) Thank you for sharing.

I like the way that you write young Estel and the relationships he has with his elven foster-family. A formatting suggestion: put some sort of divider when the place/scene jumps, like a horizontal bar or a row of asterisks, or something. I think that would make reading some of your stories easier. A story suggestion: you should try to write a story about Estel meeting Bilbo. There's no evidence that he ever did (because, of course, Aragorn hadn't been invented yet when The Hobbit was written) but there's also nothing to say that he didn't (at least, I can't think of anything).(your line about Estel being part hobbit made me think of it)

Wonderful - twin angst, my favourite sort! I know I've read this before (somewhere) but it feels like you've polished it a little. And I like the additional chapter about how Elrohir was injured. Jay
