It had a good scary undertone. It rang a bell in for some weird reason. Author Reply: Thanks, Kitt, I appreciate it. I dashed this off last night for the Black Breath Challenge at HASA which closes today and it probably shows that I dashed it off. There are bits of it that are bugging me, so its likely to change. Any beta or specific commentary you or anybody else has would be very appreciated and probably taken. It's supposed to be about how people were affected by the Black Breath. I was thinking about the soldiers on the fields at Pelennor (sp?). Tolkien states that proximity of the Nazgul caused people to despair. The common interpretation is that Faramir and the others suffered freaky deaky dreams as a result, but my feeling was that it more sucked the life out of the one exposed, even if only for a moment and that even if one were able to overcome it and rise again, it is the sort of thing that would haunt one forever, even it only in their dreams. So beta is appreciated. Seriously. Also any commentary. thanks so much for reading. Hugs, Lindorien | |
