Oh no! At least this time the elf is not under the rock. Very exciting stuff, and personally I would go for the Dwarf with the chisel theory of removing elves from trolls ,
great stuff

Author Reply: *Grin* ;) Yes, the chisel would be better than poor Elrohir turned to stone! I hope you like the rescue scene.

Oi! Another cliffie! :-P I hope that Legolas and Elrond will not have too much difficulty rescuing the twins and Estel - Legolas's poor head isn't really up to it. Elrond's going to have his hands full of difficult patients, in any case.

Author Reply: Legolas's head injury is the least of his problems when he goes into the cave - he has to confront a few nasty memories as well.

Besides dealing with injured sons, Elrond also finds he has a horse-stealing daughter in the next chapter.

I was amused that Elrond looked like Thranduil when he wanted Legolas to stay home and heal. I guess all fathers have the same look when their grown sons are being foolish.

It's not surprising that Legolas is still haunted by having to shoot his own warrior. It's a truly horrible thing.

Author Reply: I liked Elrond having the Thranduil look too - and Legolas didn't argue any more, did he?

I'm not sure that 'talking about it' too much is the best way to get over such an experience, but both Elrond and Thranduil have had to do terrible things in their time in battle, so they do understand.
