This is simply stunning. Every writing of yours(at least that which I read in which Celeborn and Galadriel were involved, because I love them really much) is really magnificent. You manage to write Celeborn in a way, that he almost appears real, very very real, and exactly what I always thought he was like. The same is to say about Galadriel. You write them both so perfectly,it is breathtaking. I have never loved Dior, but this story really made me see him with different eyes. I nearly cried, and I am not even sure why. Everything seemed so hopeless, and yet...somehow there was hope. I don't know how to describe it save wonderful (my limited vocabulary could be the cause of that though). Your style of writing is great, and I have totally fallen for it. Thank you so much for this beautiful thing (that basically applies to everything I have read of your writing)
...why am I always years too late?

Lovely!

So very poignant, and such beautiful descriptions of your characters. I liked your descriptions of Dior and I thought that little baby Elwing was so sweet both with Dior and Galadriel. You handled the feeling of Duty Dior carried as witnessed by Nimloth very well and Celeborn is of course magnificent!

I particularly liked the line about C&G's relationship, said so much by saying so little!

Author Reply: Thank you, Ladybird! I'm very glad you liked it.

Lovely story here - getting something with these characters was a real treat, and so well written as well. I loved the shifts between splendor and destruction - especially liked the bits with the walls, all beautiful but never completely cleansed of the splatters.

Nimloth's POV was excellent as well - you can really feel the struggle of everyone involved through her. Ai.

Splendid stuff here.

Author Reply: Thank you for the review!

Both Dior and Nimloth are so ignored, and the same can be said about Celeborn. This was just a little moment in the spotlight for them all. ;)

This is just beautiful! Firstly, it's great to see Dior and Nimloth at all in fiction, and at such a pivotal moment, but somehow what really got me was the sense of great pain. Nimloth knows that she's partially losing her husband to his destiny, Celeborn is doing the right thing and stepping out of the way for the rightful heir, but his grief is piercing. I really empathise with Galadriel's helplessness - and it's nice to see her helpless for a change, it humanizes her.

Bejai's right, Celeborn does rather steal the show, but in a heartachingly dignified way, and without taking our attention from Dior changing to meet the needs of his new kingdom. I liked the contrast of the grandeur of Menegroth, and the bandages on the councillors ;) In fact there is nothing I don't like about this - it's haunting, powerful and poignant, and I think my favourite thing of yours so far. You are such a good writer, so young, that now I feel inadequate. I couldn't have written something with the beauty and the punch of this.
