Shirebound mentioned this story in her birthday wish to you and so I clicked on it to read it again. It was like finding an old friend. Such a lovely story. I hope you had a happy birthday.

I love this - the flutterby comparison is wonderful and it's lovely to see all the others caring for Pippin so deeply. You portray them all brilliantly.

this story is fantastic, as are all of your stories. i notice that a lot of them are about pip recovering after the troll incident, and these are among my favourite stories to read. I look forward to reading other stories of this category, as i love the way you write, you truly are a very talented author. you have the balance just right between emotion, angst, drama and humour. well done!

That was so good! I love stories that have Pippin in them but stories with Aragorn and Pippin I always find especially delightful. I like the way Aragorn and Gandalf described Pippin as a flutterby. Very sweet, thank you for sharing!

Really, lovely story. It shows all the care that aragorn has for pippin,as well as the rest of the hobbits and fellowship toward pipin and each other. Really great story...

THis was lovely. The metaphore of the butterfly was SO well used -- and your last sentence was a perfect summary of Pip's character. You really do have a rare talent!! (Oh, and thank you for including the other characters. SO many hobbit focused stories leave out Legolas and Gimli -- and I love seeing them interact with the "little ones"!)
