| That's an oath that will most likely be broken in due time. LOL Ya gotta love the "love and marriage is yucky" age. Fun reading as always. Pearl Took Author Reply: I've already written the breaking of that oath...it was a scribbled bit of story that actually led to the planning and writing of THIS story. ^_^ Yeah, they're funny aren't they? Sadie's going to be the first to crack...but seeing as how that will come into play in the sequal, I won't mention the poor lad's name. ;-) Thanks so much for your reviews and your faithful reading of my story - it really means the world to me! | Wow--was this your first fic? Very well written! I like that name, Sadie. In the past, I've named one of my hobbits, Sadabelle (Sada, for short). On to the next chapter... Pippinfan Author Reply: *grin* No, not my very first. That one was a story called "Friends You Can Trust", which I have yet to upload (or finish, actually...). This is my Second fic. ^_^ In the original character conception, Sadie's name was Elvish - Saira, which means "wise" or "wisdom", I believe. She wasn't a hobbit, she didn't have 9 brothers and sisters, and certainly not a twin. But one day I was sketching in my notebook and managed to produce a halfway decent sketch of a young curly-headed girl reading a book, and I captioned it "Saira - age 10". Then I realized that Saira was a hobbit, and that her name was not Saira at all, but Sadie, and that she must be a decendent of Sam Gamgee. *shrugs* I then scribbled a short story of 32-year-old Sadie with Paddie, Sam, and Frodo which references back to chapter 5, "Who Listens to Esmie?". (that chapter is not quite finished yet, but it's coming). I then decided that instead of referring "back" to a chapter of a non-existant fanfic, I should actually WRITE the fic it supposedly referenced. And this is the result of that. Wow, I just went off there, didn't I? Blue- and boysenberries! I need to try not to do that. Although some people will find it interesting, I hope. ^_^ ~Rosie-Ann P.S. Sadabelle? That's so cute! | |
