Oh, lovely. What a fabulous idea for a fic. I really like the little sights into hobbit life, and chapter three in particular was outstanding. I always wondered about Merry's book (and if Pippin ever wrote something too), and how it would be, and this is perfect. Your style is excellent, and the story flowed magnificiently. Well done. |

Merry is such a clever hobbit. I am glad he saved his little granddaughter. This is a lovely story - I like the way it takes three such different periods in Merry's life and shows how much he has developed. He is always so concerned about looking after those he cares for. |

This was a wonderful story! I especially like that Merry´s motives for writing was that he wanted to help friends and family. Thank you for writing this. |

The beginnings of Merry's book coming out of a desire to help his cousins. I think that is very fitting behavior for Merry. A very nice start. |

Oh, this is a beautiful story. You show that writing his book was a life's labor for Merry, both emotionally and physically. He gave the Shire a book as valuable as the one Frodo and Sam left. |
