How truly delightful. I loved the relationships and the thought of an elven marriage ceremony.

Author Reply: I'm glad you enjoyed it - it was fun being able to elaborate a bit on the Paradise of Elves bits.

Thank you for reading.

Hey, this isn't my usual type of fic to read but something drew me to it and so I just simply had to read it. And now that i have read it I am very pleased with the fact I did. It rocks me dear, theres no other way of saying it simply. I love this fic very much and I am going to see if you have any more fics posted on here for me to read. I think that this wqhole fic is perfect and very amusing. Legolas' actions that led to the breaking of his leg is sweet, and funny, and I love the fact that a fic such as this can be so good - no offence but the majority of those I've read are just tacky and it was a surprise to read one that isn't. Toodles and Ta me darlin'.
keep on typing the honey

Author Reply: Thank you. This (and Fill the Cup) just sort of span out of Reflections from the Paradise of Elves, which is itself spinning rather out of control, having started at a one off, very short piece. Every time someone says something, it just seems to start another train of thought.

There are some other tales. I hope you like some of them.

What a romantic picture of Elrohir and his bride! They do seem so in love. I appreciated the way Galadriel actually encouraged Legolas and his betrothed to slip away for some time alone. Apparently human grandparents are not the only ones more indulgent than parents.

Author Reply: Ah, Elrohir is sweet - and so is his bride. (I think you have influenced me with your pictures of elven marriage!)

Galadriel is sufficiently her own elf that she doesn't care too much about convention. If she is happy for Legolas and his elleth to go off into the woods, then she will let them go - whatever her adar might think. And she knows she can trust him - whatever her adar might think.

Bodkin, thank you for writing this! Elrohir is my favourite character, and it's great to see this chapter. I love the way he's so besotted with his wife he doesn't realise he moves towards her, and they don't notice those around them. And Legolas has got to the silver ring engagement stage - AND we get to see a little of how his injuries occured!

Author Reply: It was fun to work outside the conventions I have established for the other one - (only E,E and L speak and no named OCs) - and actually let a few other people put a word in. My two intentions were to include - Elrohir's wedding, as you desired and more 'physical contact sports' for Legolas, which seemed to be an ambition of Daw's.

I hope it worked.

(I am wondering if, one day, I might have to give names to the wives - it can get a bit repetitive saying, my wife, your wife, his betrothed, all the time. I don't want to do it really - it seems to make them more of an intrusion. Any opinion?)

Delightful!

Just a couple of the parts I especially enjoyed:

dress him and arrange his braids and then – this is the really difficult part – stop him becoming hysterical

The last thing they want to spoil their fun is the presence of infuriatingly uninterested males. Why do you think they sent us to you?

I love your sense of humor!

Author Reply: It is great fun to be able to put in all the silly bits and little insults that friends (especially male friends) seem to use when they are just being themselves.

It was good to involve the female characters a bit more and even . . . let them speak!
