(Which, in the ROTK book, was one of the proofs of his claim to the kingship, so it is very important.) That would explain why he hasn't been able to heal his own son. Sounds like Eowyn is going to be abed for a few months. I am surprised at his indecision about whether to show the stone to Arwen.
