| Wow. This last chapter left me in tears. I always wanted to hear a conversation from Merry to his Da about this matter. I’ve read several wonderful different versions of what it might have looked like when he came back from the Quest, but never before he departed. This was absolute perfection. Thank you!!! |

| I read this some time ago and it has since been influential in making Merry my second favorite hobbit (Frodo is my first). A poignant tale of the courage love engenders. Nicely done. |
