| This is a marvelous beginning. Your insights into Aragorn's thoughts are just wonderful. I especially appreciate... "Since taking the crown of my fathers, I have been more confined the inside of building than I have ever known before in my life..." I'll bet that's very true! I am always thrilled to get reviews but when I see your name I feel very honored indeed as you are one of my favorite LOTR authors and indeed I count you to be one of the VERY best out there! You know I always thought Aragorn probably had a VERY difficult time adjusting to the life of a King after being a Ranger for so long! I mean he lived two very different roles in life and I am sure it took some time to adjust to thing but I suspect in the end Aragorn did adjust and I don't doubt he made a wonderful King to the people of Gondor. Poor thing, though - being confined to the inside of a building must have about driven him mad at first, even if it was a palace he was in! LOL! Thanks again! | |

| A very insightful look at a difficult topic. I've always thought this would be a particularly hard time for Aragorn, with so many changes already and painful goodbyes to come. You handled it very well, and your characterisations of two of Tolkien's most complex characters were spot on. I look forward to reading more of your work. | Very promising beginning. I love the little details, those guards in the background are such a perfect touch! Is this a stand-alone chapter, or will there be more? I shall be watching the list... Author Reply: Lindelea and everyone: I intend this to be the first chapter of 3 so you have more of this story to look forward to...I am just a bit busy right now so I have not been able to sit down and write like I would like too. Anyway, keep your eyes peeled for the other two chapters that will be posted soon - I hope!!! | |
