Yes, this is indeed a kind of death, even before his execution, for he has given way to hate and self-pity. And now he suffers the consequences of his treachery, tormented in many ways. These sonnets did capture Maeglin's character very well. |

I see that the title is somewhat ironic. He begins by declaring his love and ends by threatening her, blaming her for rejecting him. A good depiction of his point of view. |

This was like reading a synopsis of Maeglin's life--until the last line, which gave me a chill. I am not a poet (though I appreciate poetry), so I won't comment on the form, but it flowed very well. |
