My Dear Bandobras  by Le Rouret 5 Review(s)
DuchessReviewed Chapter: 22 on 8/22/2004
Now THAT was more like a letter from Legolas to Bandobras, right down there at the end where he admits he's scared. Methinks that being away from Laustaire and Nardane he's regaining a tiny bit of his senses and his forbodings are allowed to grow. Hm, just how bad IS this Nardane, anyway? How far would she go to make sure her charge marries the prince? *shiver*

Still loving Legolas' rep as a midwife! LOL That bit about the baby trying to remove his ears had me giggling and saying "Ouch!" at the same time. Poor Legolas.

Been offline for a few days, need to catch up, so on to the next part! :)

This elf, desperate for his own little elflings, will deal with matrimony by spending ever longer periods of time off fighting anything that moves, simply to avoid the brat. Poor fool.

Oh, no. He hasn't discovered her ineptitude yet. When do we get to see Seimiel in action?

It is hard to imagine Legolas as a father, but I suppose stranger things have happened. And I can sympathise with the desire for a family and children, if only in the abstract. But not with her! Never with that nit-witted ninny! Perhaps when he returns to find that she still hasn't lifted a finger to help the others, and hasn't the slightest intention of ever doing so, it will open his eyes a bit. He can still have the family and all that (in theory at least, not that I would read about it) but it doesn't have to be with Laustaire the Lazy.

This tale of the border skirmish is promising - my bet is that there was a lot more to it, which our dear Elf is too modest to talk about. It was more than the horse that earned the people's praises. And I grinned at poor Legolas' reputation as a midwife. Ha! Again, not a role I would imagine for him, but I suppose having him there would help take the mother's mind off things. At least it would give her something pretty to look at, as a distraction.

Legolas as midwife...that image is priceless! LOL....good to see that elven maidens are not the only ones smitten by Legolas' charms. I'm afraid, though, that he STILL doesn't see how bad this match is. I've been torn myself between the urge to throttle this girl or simply push her off the nearest cliff. Send Bandobras to him quickly so he can change Legolas' mind about this, please!

A well written chapter...keep up the great writing!
