My Dear Bandobras  by Le Rouret 3 Review(s)
LamielReviewed Chapter: 39 on 9/10/2004
Oh, this chapter was one of the most moving I've yet read. Legolas' grief by the coffins, and later when he sang the lament . . . it's so sad. I know that it isn't enough to make him fade - not so personal a grief as that, but still heart-wrenching.

And, although I am very very glad that Nardane did not romance Legolas herself, her hopeless love is tragic in the real sense of the word, and far more moving than all Laustaire's preening and tantrums.

I am so glad that Gimli is finally taking matters into his own hands and going to fetch Bandy back. If ever Legolas needed all his friends, it is now.

Hah! I knew it. I knew she was protesting a bit much when she kept talking about how she was unimpressed by his looks.

*sigh* How sad.

I'm glad Gimli's going to get Bandobras. This is a time for swift Dwarven action.

Sheesh. No wonder he blames himself, and none of this is his fault! Poor Laustairė (and I never thought I'd say that!)! Poor Nardanė!

Poor Legolas! Get Bandobras to him soon, Gimli!
