| The little tramp. Grr. Oh, I bet she did look just bewitching, peering up through her eyelashes like that. Grumble. In fairness to the author, I will say that you've managed to paint a very clear image of what is happening here, and through the medium of letters, which is no easy task. Just because I don't like the picture, doesn't mean it isn't well drawn. But please, please, can we just shove her over a cliff or have her fall for someone else or whatever is going to happen, and have it happen SOON so we can get over it? Legolas needs Gimli back. Or even Bandobras. Someone needs to smack some sense into him, and fast. Oh, and a question: I believe that Elves were almost always engaged for one year before marriage. So when she says the wedding will be "next spring," what does that mean? Will it be a year? I think this is spring now in the story, but I'm not positive. | |

| Is there a reason you never write from Laustairė's point of view, but always from Nardanė's? Is this because Laustairė is too much of a twit to provide intelligent commentary? I wonder. I also wonder how--or if--Legolas will get out of this mess. | |

| I don't like it. I don't like it ONE bit! WHY did everyone just assume that because Legolas is smitten with Laustaire's beauty and she his that THAT will be enough to sustain a marriage between them? You said this was not going to be a happy fic, so I'm now filled with foreboding over this whole relationship deal and am afraid of what will happen. The more I read in the letters of those that know the maid, the more I think she's a bit of a spoiled brat who will show temper at the first true obstacle. She had BETTER like Hobbits! *emphatic nod* Please give her that one redeeming quality? Or will that be the breaking point between her and Legolas? *getting antsy* More soon? Pretty please? I know I'm a greedy gus, but I can't help it where excellent fics are concerned. *vbg* | |
