Uninvited  by Sphinx 3 Review(s)

I like how you have written Feanor here. He has clearly been in the Halls of Mandos for quite some time, and yet you have made the place seem timeless, somehow. And you've kept him as enigmatic as ever! I liked the comfortable, intimate relationship of father and son, though Maedhros knows he is being kept at arm's reach (in some ways). The first time Feanor mentioned the Lady of the Tapestries, I thought he was referring to his mother, Miriel! (But only for a sentence or two). Interesting that Maedhros, the last to die (not counting Maglor), is the first to reconcile with his father. It fits.

Author Reply: Thank you for the review, and so very sorry for the delay in replying. Internet connections and mailboxes that act up are to blame. :( I'm glad you liked it.

This is very interesting. I liked the portrayal of Feanor and Maedhros - disconcerting Namo by their lack of anger.

I cannot help but feel sorry for Feanor's sons - (and even more, for his wife).

Feanor and Maedhros are very alpha male. I wonder who was eventually re-embodied - and how those of Valinor would have coped with them.

Sorry I'm wittering. I enjoyed the story.

Author Reply: Thanks, Bodkin!

Why? I think that Nerdanel would have know just what she was in for. Says a lot for her character, it does.

Well, that's another story all together, isnt it? ;) I've thought about it many a time - it would have to happen just before Dagor Dagorath - and I admit that it's a great scenario to play around in. Of course, playing with Feanor's mind is not easy. ;)

Thanks, once again!

Since I'm not quite sure what to think of this story I did what I always do in such cases I went and read your other stories, ALL your other stories, in one go - patting myself on my shoulder - and wow, "Red fire", "Pause" and "Bound by difference" went straight into my list of favourites, "Anesse" and "Descent into eternity" have been there for a long time, just wanted to mention it.

Author Reply: Wow. I'm flattered that you actually went back to read all my stuff. And I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Not quite sure what to think of this story? *grin* Just plain confusing, is it?

Thanks a million! I really appreciate the comment. :D
