| A wonderful story. Tender and frightening all at the same time. And Merry was so brave! And dear Pippin and all of his gesturing. And strong solid Sam! Wonderful! | Oh, now that was enjoyable! I do like pre-Rivendell, post-Weathertop stuff... The Flight to the Ford is probably the one chapter I have read MORE than any other part of the trilogy - and these little outtake stories are just delicious! Thank you for this one! Author Reply: Thank you! It is fun to focus on one hobbit's POV. I can't help but think what Merry would have done if he knew what was ahead of him ... or any of them.
