| I can't believe I'm the first person to review this. Hauntingly written, brilliantly conceived, and exactly the sort of thing fanfiction exists for -- to peek into the crannies that Tolkien never chose to. The white for mourning linked with the white city, the white faces, and the white tree is chilling. You've officially altered that scene where Gandalf and Aragorn find the tree for me, permanently.
