| I really enjoyed this story. Poor Elrond - it's amazing he turned out as well-balanced as he did. Please post here - ff.net drives me mental. I get so fed up reading about people who are terrable at summeries but really hilairious when they fall into middle erth and go to high school. | A charming, bittersweet story. You captured both the adult and child voices very well, and it was easy to see four distinct personalities between the two sets of twins. | What a moment when Elrond igores Elladan's assumption that the attackers were orcs! But Elrond did a really good job of explaining almost inexplicable actions. Were the sons of Feanor evil or did they just do evil thing? Why would anyone choose to be mortal? How did two lost and lonely elflings feel when they were once again deprived of the home they knew and sent to a different one? Very touching story, Dragon. I see you posted a chapter of the Gilgalad story too. I'm off to read it. Author Reply: *grin* Glad you liked it! I suspect you've already read the Gilgalad one as it's been on ff.net for a while and for now ff.net is preventing posting of new chapters of A Visit to Imladris and The Prince and The Shipwright over there. (There is a sparkly new young-Gil-galad on ff.net though but he's teenage and stroppy). I should probably stop being stubborn and make SoA the archive I post on first, but the thought of uploading the remaining 21 chapters of AVTI to post the new one is daunting. | |
