| That was very good. A very nice peek into an otherwise much maligned character. I am glad I followed the link here. Thank you for sharing this. It is too much. | Okay, I'm laughing too hard to login, so forgive the 'unoffical' review .... but this is a RIOT!!!! Good grief, this is funny! This is just ... this is ... words fail me. I'd start quoting favorite moments but I'd end up with most of the story pasted in here. This is FUNNY! This is adorable! This is so .... the perfect father-son moment. Amongst all the angst and deep thinking and soul-crunching that usually goes on in Thrandual-Legolas fics, this is a delightful breath of fresh air. I dearly, dearly love seeing *both* of them give vent to that elven frivolity and have such a marvelously silly time together. Not to mention the home-coming, which is a whole new set of snorks and giggles! "I am not hungry, Mother." "Now." ~ *SNORK!!* Simply perfect. :-) And now I'm hungry! You can go off in many directions and still have the family relationship to come back to, as an anchor. Now - if you are hungry, Lady Erin, go straight to the kitchens and ask Bessain for a honeycake. If you ask nicely she may give you a mug of brown ale too. She keeps it in a stone jug in the corner. | Wonderful story, Cathol-linn! I absolutely loved the father/son bond you let me picture as I read it. I am ever glad that I've never read a Evil!Thranduil story... Wonderful! Author Reply: It is so good to hear from readers who enjoy a healthy father - son bond! I have a hard time relating to the other view of Thranduil. Not that he is perfect of course. | This is such a sweet story. I really like the Thranduil / Legolas interaction and the snake. And wine to cure hiccups - and make the haircut seem a clever idea. Elsila's reaction is lovely. Though the amusement might wear off after a few weeks of living with people whose hair has been hacked off. Author Reply: Hi, Bodkin. It is such a pleasure when a reader takes the time to comment. I've always thought of Elsila as an opposite to Thranduil and Elwen, and an anchor to them both, as is Legolas. | What a lovely tale - I love the relationship between Legolas and Thranduil in this. And the Mo Hawk - inspired! I think my favourite part, though is Elsila's reaction when father and son return: “I will cook breakfast for you,” I said, beaming. “Do not stir. You should not handle fire just yet.
