It's nothing to feel guilty about, Eokat. Doubts have to be taken account when considering a proposal, and it's turned out the best in your case, hasn't it? Also, I know what you meant about Lothiriel. It's just that the question of her age got the wheels turning in my head. Author Reply: Thank you, and yes it has. Hmm, wheels turning? Methinks there is someting brewing! Eokat.

This was so sweet. At first, I thought it was the betrothal of Eomer and Lothiriel you were talking about. But apparently their daughter's betrothal was just about as hard on her parents as their own had been! Poor Eomer. If she's happy, though, he'll come around. Author Reply: Thank you Daw, I think I have managed to throw everyone of the scent. All were waiting for Imrahil to make an appearance. Eomer will just have to get used to it. Poor thing!! Eokat.

Well, um, that was an interesting change of direction. And here I thought Eomer was to be formally asking Imrahil for Lothiriel's hand. I had a different review entirely planned thinking such, and then everything changed on me. Well, I'll say what I was going to say anyway. I'm not certain if women understand exactly *why* men are so reluctant to propose. It's not really that they're unprepared to settling down with one woman or unwilling to make a commitment. To a man, a marraige proposal is more like asking, "Am I truly good enough for you that you would be willing to spend the rest of your life with me?" A rejection means one not to be worthy of a woman, and that's what makes it so frightening to ask. I know because I have asked before, and I was rejected, though a month after the fact for reasons I don't understand. I don't know, maybe men are narcissistic in that regard, but that's how I see things. Love is still the primary driving force, at least. As for being the worried father, well, I'm glad I'm not likely to face that anytime soon. I think you portrayed it very well, as who would want to see their own flesh and blood be hurt? That line about Lothiriel still having her youthful beauty? Very much true. Being that she is from Dol Amroth, and likely of young age when she married Eomer, her physical state would probably suggest she would be in her thirties, while poor Eomer is near to confronting what is considered old age by his people. Even though he lives to be 93, she probably lived for at least 20 years afterward. For some reason, I'm starting to see plot bunnies circling my feet; teeth bared and ready to attack. Author Reply: Thank you Eomer, you are so right, I am glad I have not had to propose to anyone. It must be hard for a man. And your words have made me feel a little guilty over the others who proposed to me before I met my husband. I always feel that Eomer would be slightly possessive of a daughter, and not want to give her up to another man. Again the rider in question, must have been terrified to ask the King for his daughter's hand. I also agree with you about Lothiriel. It states in the book that Dol Amrothonions had elvish blood in them, and that should make her beauty still shine....but I actually meant that no matter what her age, in Eomer's eyes she would always look lovely. Anyway gald you enjoyed it, and the final chapter of Acceptance is with my Beta and hopefully will be posted soon. I lke the sound of the plot bunnies, I will be on alert. Eokat.

What a twist... I did not see it coming. I was waiting for an appearance by Imrahil to give his blessing, but instead it was Eomer giving the blessing for his own daughter.. Well written and a fabulous timing and pace! Author Reply: Than you Sorcha, I think most people expected Imrahil to make an appearance. Glad you enjoyed it. Eokat.

This is seriously sweet. Eomer is so reluctant to let some evil Rider carry off his little girl! The threat sets up echoes in all parents as they release their offspring - and, as king, Eomer is in so much better a position to enforce it! Very cleverly written - excellent misdirection. Author Reply: Thank you Bodkin, this was a plot bunny that I had been meaning to write for a while, and I seem to have fooled everyone, even on FFN. I love the thought of Eomer as a doting Father, but not wanting any other man near his daughter. Eokat.
