| This is a very good combination of book and movie-verse! I have always loved the close relationships between the hobbits, and this one underscores Merry and Pippin's very well. Pippin is so impulsive, and never stops to think about such mundane things as consequences...it's a wonder he didn't get in more trouble than he did! LOL (That portion of the movie RotK where Pippin rides off with Gandalf, with Merry standing on the watchtower watching him go is SOO sad, especially after the dressing-down Merry gave Pip about "looking".) Then he breaks his promise, only it is to "look" for Merry! Bless his heart! Great story, songspinner! :-) linda | |

| Very nice. Having just written a story about the importance of never breaking promises, this is a good reminder that just sometimes it's for the best.
