That was beautiful...such a nice portrait of a father and son relationship, with insecurities on both sides. It was the insecurities that made it very real for me as a reader. I also appreciated that you showed such a different take on the Tooks' resistance movement - I hadn't thought of it that way at all, but you had a good point. Nice characterization and very realistic dialogue. | |

I loved this one too. I read them in the wrong order but I still enjoyed them.I like your explanation for what would have happened if Frodo, Pippin, Merry and Sam had not returned when they did. I had never thought of it in that light but it makes perfect sense. A wonderful story! | |

Absolutely wonderful, Pearl! I liked that even though Pippin is an adult, he still has insecurities and needs his father. Another brilliant part is the parallel you draw between Gondor and the Tookland being lands under siege. What a sweet, sweet story--thank you for sharing! :-) Pippinfan Author Reply: Thank you!
