| This is a very nice story of a gentle, thoughtful Hobbit who cared a great deal for his friends, and sacrificed himself for them and all of Middle-earth. "Gifts From the Heart", indeed! I liked seeing his thoughts as he lay there trying to think of the most appropriate gifts for the Fellowship...he wanted something personal for each one, which made them all the more special once they were received. (I would have loved to read the song/poem he composed himself for Legolas!) I enjoyed reading this alot...here at the end of a long hard week, its gentle tone was just the thing! As for reading Frodo's poem to Legolas, I may tackle that some time, if I'm feeling brave but I'm glad you enjoyed the story as is. :) | |
