| Awwww... This was so sweet it just melted me into a puddle. You have such a gift for describing a scene - you lay out the general scenario and let our imaginations fill in the details. Little Frodo climbing up on Bilbo's desk, and Bilbo holding the child in his lap to teach him how to use a pen - I could just see it. You manage to take a mundane moment and fill it with warmth and joy. If this is 'fluff,' may there be lots more of it! | |

| Aw, he's so cute. I love the image of little Frodo sucking his thumb and trying to 'make marks' on the paper like his beloved uncle. Lovely story. Author Reply: Thank you! | “Hold on a moment, you little rip” Oh, this is so wonderful. Nice use of words -- describing the whole scene and the writing-with-quill-and-ink process. Beautiful details. Not to mention my darling little hero. I wish I had written something for Frodo and Bilbo's birthday! I'm glad you did . . . this is one of the better postings I've seen on the website lately. Did you read the new chapter of "Anchored"? It's an evil cliffhanger . . . I can't wait for the next update. Author Reply: Aw, thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Last year I was able to post a chapter in honor of their birthday, but this year I decided to do something original - since I couldn't come up with a finished chapter to post - and the chance to try a bit of toddler!Frodo was just too good to pass up. ;) (Yes I did read that last chapter! Obelia really is quite evil sometimes.) Ach, my deepest apologies for being so slow to respond to anything! I've been buried by a combination of schoolwork (big tests this week, eep!), new interests, a suddenly expanded social calendar, and just RL in general! I've hardly done any reading or emailing at all, let alone writing. I'm finally getting caught up now, though slowly, so I hope to respond to your last email(s) soon - again, sorry for taking so long!!
