| Poor Nerdanel. I tend to feel that she is one of Feanor's unsung victims. Bad enough to be abandoned by a husband and all seven sons if you are human - but to spend eternity mourning their loss? To know that they all put anger and revenge and a few jewels (even Silmarils) above their family and home. And then for ever after to have all the reports coming back of their conduct and their suffering and be hurt by the injury caused by and to her children. She is a tragic figure. |
